About Mahlon
Even as a little boy, I had a fondness for family connections. My summers, all through to high school were spent traveling New Zealand with my family, and visiting my grandfather for weeks at a time. Connections, conversations, music, books. Meaning and celebration, events, these were all very much a part of my childhood culture. Our family didn’t have much in the way of finances, but my mother made sure in one way or another that images of family members were created, and displayed. As I grew older, second hand cameras from great grandma’s box brownie and up were gifted to me as my interest in, and love for the art of recording memories developed. My gift is capturing a moment in time and creating images with visual and emotional impact.
I take time to plan your photography session to reflect your interests and family lifestyle.
My portraits and bespoke albums, branded with a fluid style and spontaneous results are more than just photographs. The images created for you will become a part of your family legacy.
